Welcome to DASH Rescue

A place for Dachshunds And Small Hounds to find loving homes.

Puppy Mill  Survivors

DASH Rescue took in 4 Dachshunds from a puppy mill in a tiny trailer without air conditioning, in unimaginably filthy living conditions. Sadly, one tiny female had a bad heart and has gone on to the Rainbow Bridge. The other three have Mange and kennel cough, among other serious medical conditions. One is definitely pregnant and another may be.

They are being boarded in Lewisburg, TN until they are healthy enough to travel. They will be there till at least August 20 while they are being treated, and the bill for their care is building up to a staggering amount. Please help DASH to care for these Dachshunds while they recover from their conditions. We are in desperate need of donations to help with their care and to continue rescuing Dachshunds and other small breed dogs. Every dollar counts and is deeply appreciated!

This is Cande a Sweetheart that needs your help

Cande needs your support! Cande our little 5 lb Chihuahua was rescued from a hoarder in Texas where she had to be caught in a live trap since she was nervous and scared around people. She came into rescue under nourished but is gaining weight now and is sooo happy and loving towards everyone! She is great with other dogs and just wants to please her human
Cande went to the Vet today where we learned that she has a permanently dislocated the left patella medially, and a intermittently dislocated medially right patella. the Vet has suggested that both legs need surgery.
Cande has adjusted her self to live with the pain. She is only a year old and if left in this condition she will most likely be crippled when she gets older.
The cost of this Surgery is between $2,000 & $3,000. with out this surgery Cande will live a life with pain, wont be able to enjoy a loving home to call her own and mostly wont be abe to walk when she gets older. DASH is trying to raise funds to get Cande the surgery she so needs and deserves. We know that times are hard for us and the Dogs.
Please help DASH show Cande that there are people out there that dont want her to spend her live in pain. Please help us reach our goal of $3,000 to help Cande!

SUMMER FUN

Its summer time and the Fun is just begining. Grab your camera and your best friend and catch the fun. DASH Rescue would like to see what our friends do for fun. We thought what a better way to help out Cande, but to show her what she might be able to do one day without the pain by having a Summer Fun Contest.Send your Photos to SummerFun@DASHRescue.net for an entrance fee of $2 for 1 and $5 for 3 photos. All the fees will go to Cande, so go have some fun and enter your Photos and who know maybe you will win a great prize for just having fun and HELPING Cande

Mission Statement

The Mission of Dachshund And Small Hound Rescue is:

* To serve and to protect all Dachshunds And Small Hounds possible.
* To rescue, provide shelter, Medical care, Love, Human companionship and stability for abandoned and neglected dogs until permanent placements are secured.
* To educate the public of the benefits of spaying and neutering their pets.
* To raise the public's awareness of the plight of homeless animals as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need.
* To promote adoption of rescued dogs to qualified homes that have been properly screened and counseled to maintain the dog in the home for their lifetime.

D.A.S.H. Rescue is a group of Loving People that have opened our Hearts and our Homes to all the wayward dogs that we can save to help them find that Loving Fur-Ever Home that they all deserve. We are not a shelter in which you come and visit the dogs behind bars. In order to see if the dog of your choice is a perfect match for you, you will need to email the Foster Home for as much info about the dog as they can give you. We do not hide anything about the dogs, if they are a digger , we will tell you, if they are not good with kids, we will tell you. Our goal is to tell you everything that we can about the dogs so that you are informed as much as you can be.
